Kindergarten Presents Pumpkin Themed Performance
The Kindergartners debuted their musical talents during the October Morning Program at Forest Lake Elementary School in front of family and friends. One by one, students dressed in various, orange-colored outfits walked into the gym single file gradually stepping into their place on the risers perfectly rehearsed during music class. Waving to their loved ones with smiles on their faces, the excitement could be seen on each face as the teachers held up the “ready” signal.
Under the direction of music teacher Ms. Alessi, students spent the last few weeks during music class memorizing the words, melody, poetic cadence of fall favorites The Pumpkin on the Vine, The Skeletons, Five Little Pumpkins, and I’m a Little Pumpkin to name a few. Let’s not forget the animated choreography led by teachers Ms. Akapnitis, Ms. Adams, Ms. Conti, and Ms. Schiavetta, to each song, which really made the performance fun to watch.
Just after the final song, a furry, bright-eyed guest entered the Halloween themed performance area making the event even more special. With squeals of joy echoing throughout, Forester the Bear, who wore a pumpkin hat just for the occasion, congratulated the students on a wonderful performance.
