Forest Lake’s Newest Authors Celebrate with Publishing Party
Ms. Anszelowicz’s fourth grade class held a party celebrating the newly published authors in her fourth-grade class at Forest Lake. The assignment included outlining, writing, and illustrating a story which showed evidence of hard work and dedication from students.
A few special guests stopped in to read and review each story including Principal Thomas Burke and Ms. Hazut, Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction for K-5.
Once students were officially announced as published authors, the first task was to read one another’s stories and leave positive, handwritten feedback about what they liked in the story. Based on the silence that filled the room, the new authors, teachers, and guests were fully engrossed with one the new literary works hanging on every written word.
Given the creative story titles, one can only imagine the experiences and captivating stories of the authors. A few of the titles included Lost Dog, The Dog that Swallowed a Mask, The Day She Lost Someone Special, COVID Experience, Guinea Pig Escape, and Lost in the Mall.
